Maximum slope 3,2° (7 Nm) | Hydraulic Radial Damper (or brake) for Sloping Sliding Gates
Product SKU: HRD-0704
The braking system for sloping sliding gates – maximum slope 3,2° (7 Nm)
Hydraulic radial damper, adjustable sensitivity for sliding gates. “Parachute” brakes for sloping sliding gates | Hydraulic Gate Damper (or brake) for Sloping Gates
A mechanical, hydraulic radial damper is designed to resist sliding gates. It allows controlled movement downhill while freewheeling uphill, enhancing safety and functionality. The CONTROLGIR-7 Radial Damper is made of stainless steel and can support significant weights, making it suitable for sliding gates in slope motion control.
TECHNICAL DATA
M (required resistant moment): 7 Nm
Rack pitch: M4
Gate weight: 400 Kg (3920 N)
Slope: 3,2° MAX
Formula:
M [Nm] = P x sinß x 0,032
P = gate weight in Newtons (9.8N=1Kg)
sinß = sine of the tilt angle (ß= tilt in degrees)
P = 9.8 x 400kg = 3920 Newton
M = 3920 Newton x sin 3.2 x 0.032 = 7 Nm
M [Nm] = P x sin ß x 0.032
P = weight of the door in Newton (9.8N=1Kg)
ß = inclination in degrees
Calculation Example:
CONTROLGIR M4 can be used on doors that weigh 400kg and have an inclination of 3º.
P = 9.8 x 400kg = 3920 Newton
M = 3920 Newton x without 3 x 0.032 = 6.56 Nm
6.56 Nm is less than 7 Nm (maximum allowed), and thus, the brake would be suitable for this installation.
The radial damper's resistance to the sliding gate as it descends the hill permits freewheeling during the ascent. The slopping driveway gates are recommended to be equipped with a slope motion controller damper to support the sliding gate motor and ensure safety.

Hydraulic radial damper, adjustable sensitivity for sliding gates. “Parachute” brakes for sloping sliding gates | Hydraulic Gate Damper (or brake) for Sloping Gates
"CONTROLGIR" is a hydraulic gate damper (or brake) used for continuous damping (speed control or limiting) of sliding gates on an incline (slope or hill). It is a mechanical device that can be used even without electric power.
The CONTROLGIR line is indispensable for standardization in the presence of sliding gates on a slope. The internal hydraulic circuit (adjustable) functions like a “parachute,” regulating the downward speed throughout the gate’s travel on the slope surface. The operating speed should be adjusted just above that of the gate motor so that it does not interfere with the automation.
Hydraulic radial damper with adjustable sensitivity for sloppy sliding gates. The pinion gear engages the drive rack, substantially resisting the gate rolling downhill. The resistance force adjusts to match the gate weight to a slope angle. This one-way hydraulic radial damper is compact and heavy-duty stainless steel.
Hydraulic dampers offer several benefits, including:
Vibration Control: They effectively reduce vibrations and shocks, providing a smoother operation in machinery and vehicles.
Adjustable Damping: Many hydraulic dampers allow for adjustable damping characteristics, enabling customization based on specific application needs.
Load Handling: They can handle heavy loads and provide consistent performance under varying conditions, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications.
Durability: Hydraulic dampers are typically robust and designed to withstand harsh environments, leading to a longer lifespan.
Energy Absorption: They absorb energy during impact, protecting components and structures from damage.
Noise Reduction: Dampening vibrations also help reduce noise levels in machinery and vehicles.
Improved Stability: Hydraulic dampers enhance the stability of systems, particularly in automotive and aerospace applications, improving safety and performance.
Smooth Operation: They provide a controlled and smooth movement, which is crucial in applications like automotive suspensions and industrial machinery.
Hydraulic dampers enhance performance, safety, and comfort in various applications.
