High Efficency AC powered Boom Gate
AC Powered Boom Operating System for security and traffic control management designed for entry and exit points at industrial complexes, body corporate managed complexes, factories, schools, car parks, caravan parks and more. The aluminum boom arm is lightweight and adjustable in size from 1m up to 6m in length. It is also supplied with pre installed reflective tape to help for visibility at night time.
The body itself is constructed from robust steel and finished in a smooth red powdercoat. The system is available in two diffrent orientations, a left side and a right side system depending on the best suited for the site and cabling structure.
AC Motor and Over ride System
The 120 Watt AC motor is very quiet and fast on opening and closing (~6 seconds per direction), with precise limit encoder settings to ensure accurate positioning during every cycle.
Incase of a power outtage the system is equiped with a built in overrride to operate the boom gate into either the open and close position.
Balancing Spring System
Included and pre-installed within the operator are TWO tensioning balancing springs to assist in ensuring a smooth jutter free closing movment. Tensions can be increased/decreased by adjusting preload if necessary or removing one of the springs when a shorter length arm is being used.
The internal control panel is fitted with on board push button switches for UP, DOWN and emergency STOP to assist with the installation process.
The control panel is completely pre-wired to the motor with an onboard internal power transformer and is pre-wired to a 10Amp power plug (the control panel is ready to plug into a power point), if required the control panel can also be hadrwired to the mains power via an isolator.

Counter Mode When multiple input signals are detected the boom gate will not close until the same amount of signals have passed through.

An adjustable resting cradle is supplied with the boom operator to help prevent damage caused by vandalism, the operator can be used without this item however its purpose is to help prevent the arm being pulled down or rested on whilst the operator is in the closed position. It also helps in the installation process as it allows for a simple closeby installation of the reflector from the reflective sensor package (if used).
APC Automation Systems FOUR Button Keyring Remote Control
Four-button remote control transmitter used for:
- Button 1 will Open the boom gate
- Button 2 is for the STOP command
- Button 3 will close the boom gate
- Button 4 is Vacant and can be used to connect to other systems using the APC Reciever
APC-RR-11 Retro Reflective Sensor
The retro-reflective Safety sensor set is used to prevent the closing cycle occurring during the case of the sensor path being interrupted by vehicles, trailers or any other obstacles.
If the gate begins to close and the sensor path is interrupted then the gate will stop and return to the open position.
The sensor ( which is the transmitter and receiver) is wired back to the control box of the gate system using the pre-connected cable. There is no requirement for wiring across the driveway using this type of sensor.

Single Channel Loop Detector
The loop detector sensor module that is used wherever vehicles need to be detected to automatically trigger the system to operate. The loop detector module is installed within the system and is powered by the system itself.
From the loop detector module the supplied induction loop cable is fed and layered into a cutout in the driveway as per the illustration below. The system is supplied with a 40m roll of teflon insulated cable which can be upgraded to a larger roll if necessary based on the loop size and distance from the module.
