    Product Information

Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates 3m Length

Usage: This aluminium Z Section is the ideal choice for gates:

    - With an incline or decline (not on level ground)
    - With pickets or cladding on the face of gate making an uneven surface on the gate
    - With spears at the top of the gate
    - With an arched top design

In all the above scenarios the roller and bracket guiding system cannot be used to guide the sliding gate and therefore the block and "C" Channel set up needs to be used. In order to use the Block and "C" channel set up this aluminium z section is needed.

How it Works: This aluminium Z section is screwed to the top of the sliding gate and attaches to the block and "c" channel which are attached to the support post to guide the gate (please see illustration below).

1m Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates

The following images illustrate situations when the sliding gates used are not the standard shape and the Z Section is useful

1m Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates
Example: Sliding Gate with Timber Cladding
A sliding gate with Timber Cladding on the face of the gate makes it difficult to use the roller and bracket set due to the uneven surface on the face of the gate, the block and "c" channel along with the z section are the correct guiding system to use in this scenario.

1m Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates

Example: Sliding Gate with Colorbond Cladding
A sliding gate with Colorbond Cladding makes it difficult to use the roller and bracket set due to the uneven surface on the face of the gate, the block and "c" channel along with the z section are the correct guiding system to use in this scenario.

1m Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates

Example: Sliding Gate with Spear Top
A sliding gate with spears at the top makes it difficult to use the roller and bracket set due to the gap between the top of the flat part of the gate and the top of the spears, the block and "c" channel along with the z section are the correct guiding system to use in this scenario.

1m Aluminium Z Section for Sliding Gates
Example: Sliding Gate with Arched Top
A sliding gate with an arched top makes it difficult to use the roller and bracket set due to the top of the gate being different heights at different points of the gate, the block and "c" channel along with the z section are the correct guiding system to use in this scenario.

Please note: This ad is for 1 x 3m Aluminium Z section, the block and "c" channel are not supplied but can be purchased separately.
