High Speed powered Boom Gate
DC Powered Boom Operating System for security and traffic control management designed for entry and exit points at industrial complexes, body corporate managed complexes, factories, schools, car parks, caravan parks and more. The aluminum boom arm is lightweight and adjustable in size from 1m up to 6m in length. It is also supplied with pre installed reflective tape to help for visibility at night time.
The body itself is constructed from robust steel and finished in a smooth red powdercoat. The system is available in two diffrent orientations, a left side and a right side system depending on the best suited for the site and cabling structure.
DC Motor and Over Ride System
The 80 Watt DC motor is very quiet and fast on opening and closing (~6 seconds per direction with a 6m arm and as little as ~2 seconds for a 1m arm), with precise limit encoder settings to ensure accurate positioning during every cycle.
Incase of a power outtage the system is equiped with a built in overrride to operate the boom gate into either the open and close position.
Optional Upgrade to External Transformer (Extendable up to 80 metres cable distance)
24V External weatherproof designed to be used in a low voltage cabling application of up to 80 meters, supplied with a pre-connected 20 meter cable this is a perfect solution when running mains power to the gate is not a viable option due to costs, difficulty or just simply to DIY.
Optional 9aH Battery Back Up
Available as an option the back up battery system will allow for continued use of the gate system for up to 50 Cycles or Two days and will automatically recharge upon power restoration. Whilst the system is powered it will continue to float charge to keep the batteries topped up ready for use.
Balancing Spring System
Included and pre-installed within the operator are TWO tensioning balancing springs to assist in ensuring a smooth jutter free closing movment. Tensions can be increased/decreased by adjusting preload if necessary or removing one of the springs when a shorter length arm is being used.
The internal control panel is fitted with on board push button switches for UP, DOWN and emergency STOP to assist with the installation process.
The control panel is completely pre-wired to the motor with an internal 24V power transformer and is pre-wired to a 10Amp power plug (the control panel is ready to plug into a power point), if required the control panel can also be hadrwired to the mains power via an isolator.

An adjustable resting cradle is supplied with the boom operator to help prevent damage caused by vandalism, the operator can be used without this item however its purpose is to help prevent the arm being pulled down or rested on whilst the operator is in the closed position. It also helps in the installation process as it allows for a simple closeby installation of the reflector from the reflective sensor package (if used).
APC Automation Systems FOUR Button Keyring Remote Control
Four-button remote control transmitter used for operating the boom gate system for OPEN - STOP - CLOSE commands. The remote can be paired to other APC boom gates on the same site or diffrent sites using any of the vacant or unused buttons.
APC-KP1C Wired keypad with built in card reader
The APC-KP1C keypad is a waterproof low voltage keypad which is wired back to the control board using the supplied cable roll. It is of alloy construction and extremly robust. It can be seen day or night thanks to its backlit keys. Two EM swipe cards are also supplied suitable for any temporary or permanent user that need to gain access into the property without a pin code.

Single Channel Loop Detector
The loop detector sensor module that is used wherever vehicles need to be detected to automatically trigger the system to operate. The loop detector module is installed within the system and is powered by the system itself.
From the loop detector module the supplied induction loop cable is fed and layered into a cutout in the driveway as per the illustration below. The system is supplied with a 40m roll of teflon insulated cable which can be upgraded to a larger roll if necessary based on the loop size and distance from the module.

APC-RR-11 Retro Reflective Sensor
The retro-reflective Safety sensor set is used to prevent the closing cycle occurring during the case of the sensor path being interrupted by vehicles, trailers or any other obstacles.
If the gate begins to close and the sensor path is interrupted then the gate will stop and return to the open position.
The sensor ( which is the transmitter and receiver) is wired back to the control box of the gate system using the pre-connected cable. There is no requirement for wiring across the driveway using this type of sensor.
