The discreet extra heavy duty 24V DC motor is a powerful unit built from all metal components including its powdercoated foundation box and stainless steel top plate, internally the motor is constructed of all metal gears with a thick and strong motor output drive.
Designed in Australia, the extra heavy duty motor is for underground installations to cater for installs where there is no space above ground for mounting a motor or for installs where the user does not want the motor above ground. Furthermore it is highly flexible in its installation methods allowing for multiple diffrent orientations and positions.
Thanks to its all metal gears this Tough and Robust system can handle large gates up to 4.5m width or 300kg in weight.
Drainage and Conduit Holes
With a drainage hole on either side of the foundation box it can be easily plumbed to to a pit or storm water to ensure the box is never filled with water. There is also a higher position hole for the cabling from the control box to the motor.
Powder Coated Arms and the Manual Override System
The powdercoated steel linking arm which connects the motor output shaft to the drive channel and allows operation of the gate by the pivot motion.
This is achieved with the supplied bearing gliding through the powdercoated drive channel, furthermore to ensure compatibility regardless of the gate to ground clearance height three different choices of bearing height adjuster are supplied.
The easy to use manual override can be used from either side since the gate motor is a universal left/right side fitting. Simply unlock with the manual release allen key and the gate will be free and can be opened and closed manually in the case of an emergency
Powder Coated Channel
The powder coated steel drive channel bolts onto the gate (can also be welded), and allows for the bearing from the linking arm to slide through and create the pivot motion of the gate through its operation.
The internal slide stops that are supplied will fit within the channel at either end and are tightened from underneath for a clamping effect to prevent over travel of the gate system.
Motor Dimensions and Installation
Pulling to open (opening inwards) can be set to open each gate up to 120° (maximum recommended) however 130° to 160° is achievable as with underground systems there is no concern regarding the motor clashing with the gate.
Adjustable in drive channel stops are supplied with the kit if a completely discreet stop is preferred but can only be used up to a maximum of 100° open angle. External gate stop is also provided in this kit and are required for the open angle greater than 100°
Installation Method 1
Recommended option and the easiest on the operator will allow for 120°+ operation
Center pivot of gate motor (output shaft) inline with the center of the gate pivot point (hinge), arm is at a 45° angle to the drive channel/gate
Installation Method 2
Maximum 100°, if option 1 cannot be used. Preferred over option 3
Center pivot of gate motor (output shaft) offset from the center of the gate pivot point (hinge) by up to 200mm, arm is at a 45° angle to the drive channel/gate
Installation Method 3
Maximum 90°, Hardest on the operator and should only be used in special circumstances as required.
Center pivot of gate motor (output shaft) offset from the center of the gate pivot point (hinge) by up to 200mm, arm is at a 20° angle to the drive channel/gate.
Weatherproof Control Box
The CBSW24 series smart control panel is an easy to connect, simple to setup and feature rich control box vast amount of features as listed below:
Party mode: The automatic closing can be cancelled using button 3 on the remote control buttons when expecting a visitor to arrive, reversing a trailer and numerous other uses.
Service Gate Function (12V 250mA max.). Using the second lock output will allow the user to power and control a second electric striker installed on a pedestrian access gate the second lock is powered from the control panel and controlled using button 4 on the remote. APC Wired and wireless Accessories can also be use to control the Lock 2 function.

Battery Back Up
Supplied with the automation kit the back up battery system will allow for continued use of the gate system for up to three days of regular use and will automatically recharge upon power restoration. Whilst the system is powered it will continue to float charge to keep the batteries topped up ready for use.

APC-PE2000 Photoelectric Safety Sensor Set
The Safety sensor set is used to prevent the closing cycle occurring during the case of the sensor path being interrupted by vehicles, trailers or any other obstacles.
If the gate begins to close and the sensor path is interrupted then the gate will stop and return to the open position.
Both sensors (transmitter and receiver) are wired back to the control box of the gate system using the supplied cable roll, alternatively a reflective sensor upgrade is available which will only require wiring from the sensor mounted at the control box.

APC-KP1C Wired keypad with built in card reader
The APC-KP1C keypad is a waterproof low voltage keypad which is wired back to the control board using the supplied cable roll. It is of alloy construction and extremly robust. It can be seen day or night thanks to its backlit keys. Two EM swipe cards are also supplied suitable for any temporary or permanent user that need to gain access into the property without a pin code.

Wired Push Button with Isolation Key
The wired push button switch is a simple and easy to use method to operate the gate. It is mounted in the general area of the gate and can be isolated by using the supplied keys without affecting the rest of the system, this is handy if you want to continue using the remotes or any other method of operation but wish to stop use of the push button itself.
The push button is wired to the control board using the supplied cable roll. If required the button can be upgraded to a wired keypad for higher access security using pin number .
Automatic Electric Lock
The 24V electric gate lock is a completly automatic solution to lock the gate once reaching the closed position and automatically unlock as soon as the command is given for the gates to operate whether by remote or any other accessory.
The electric gate lock will connect horizontally to the gate on the furthest side away from the hinge. When closing it will engage into its armature plate on the adjacent post. The armature plate is a blank canvas and can be welded or screwed to the post. The electric lock itself is wired back to the control board by the supplied 6 metre cable
For installations where the gate is cladded and see a higher wind load or are to difficult to create a stand off bracket a magnetic lock upgrade would be a more appropriate solution.
